Presented at Son Blanc Farmhouse, A Sense of Place brings together aselection of artworks from the artist’s various ceramic collections, united by a deep connection to the Mediterranean territory.
The exhibition is a celebration of slow-making, respect for natural processes, and a profound connection to nature and place. Drawing inspiration from close observation of the natural world, the artist nourishes her imagination through the materials, landscapes, and rhythms of her surroundings, allowing the environment itself to become an active collaborator in the creative process.
Through clay — a material intrinsically linked to the earth — these contemporary works explore the textures, colours, forms, and memories embedded within a particular territory. Rather than representing a specificlocation, the pieces evoke a sensory essence of place: the warmth of sunlit stone, the contours of coastal terrain, the traces of wind and water, the presence of ancestral histories.
The ceramic surface becomes a repository of gestures, sediments, and transformations, reflecting both natural processes and human presence. Together, the works invite viewers to engage with landscape not as a fixed image, but as a living experience shaped by memory, materiality, and time.
